Bryna Technologies, a company manufacturing and selling non-lethal self-defense products, leased a former tattoo shop in Salem, NH’s North Broadway Crossing Plaza as their first retail location in in the northeast United States.
The fast growing company needed to establish their northeast footprint quickly within the busy plaza - which had active tenants on both sides of Byrna’s space.
The 1,507 space was partially demolished leaving a few existing spaces at the rear of the unit including a break room, bathroom, and office.
The 19’x32’ Demonstration Area anchors the space and is visible through a glass and aluminum storefront system.
The area is outfitted with a pair of 8ft frameless glass doors and includes a target wall and functions as a demonstration space for their products.
This space features exposed structure and polished concrete floors. Walls surrounding this space extend full-height to the deck and include sound insulation with the target wall showcasing a mural.
Doors into this area include access controls by Avigilon Open Path.
Additionally, the leased unit includes a retail area to display and sell merchandise.
Design began in fall of 2024 with a March 2025 grand opening.
