A modest 3 bedroom split-level with a dated exterior and a layout not conducive for the lifestyle of the 21st Century, was transformed into a contemporary home to suit the lifestyle of an active and growing family. The enlarged dining room area opened to the new expansive family room above the new two stall garage. The home was rebirthed into a functional family environment complete with second floor bedroom area and private end- of- hall Master Suite. Taking a ranch style house to a 3 story colonial was no small feat. Careful considerations was given to ensure the ability blend the first floor exterior style with the new second and third floor achieving a seamless blend of the massive vertical and garage additions. This was accomplished by removing the gambrel roof, swapping out the windows and the siding of the existing house. With the large addition of 2 story's, 3 dormers were added to provide more livable space to the third floor, while also breaking up the roof line.
