The former iconic Junior’s Crush House on Weirs Road has been demolished to create Gilford, NH’s newest destination, The Slip Restaurant. Located on two acres directly across the road from the Mountain View Yacht Club, providing the restaurant with extraordinary views of Lake Winnipesaukee. The steel superstructure will have concrete floor slabs and include a main outdoor deck featuring a series of retractable doors achieving a true indoor/outdoor dining space during the warm months. The outdoor dining deck will have a unique terrace structure with a retractable mesh fabric in-between bays to provide sun shading. The full kitchen will be located at the grade level with exterior facade details alluding to boat house doors with transom windows to provide privacy and sunlight to the workspace. Located at the southeast corner, the main entrance will be anchored by a tall square tower element inviting entry into a vestibule with stairs and an elevator bringing guests to the main dining space. There will be a featured bar that faces the airport beyond the building’s lot, where patrons can grab a drink and watch the planes land.
