Merrimack Valley's largest commercial, industrial, and development real-estate service provider, Brooks Properties, needed an eye-catching headquarters reflective of their prestige and modern philosophy. Sitting on the cul de sac of an active business roadway, the proposed three-story building features 4,400 sf for Brooks' Properties’ storage of landscaping equipment. The 4,364 sf first floor provides a leasable retail space while the 3,655 sf second floor will house Brookes Properties headquarters and have a private entrance for the staff. The overall concept of this building was to provide a modern and sleek aesthetic while maintaining views throughout the building of the surrounding forest landscape. The conceptual design uses large curtain walls of glass with geometric massing to make a bold statement. In order to achieve a large amount of glass desired the structural solution will need to be innovative.
