The owners of Vedant Construction purchased a former automotive repair shop located along the Merrimack River. The existing building was unreinforced and uninsulated concrete block structure. The Client wanted to renovate the structure to be a modern office building for their construction team. In order to avoid adhering to new zoning requirements, the entire structure was demolished except for one layer of concrete blocks that outlined the building footprint. RWH's innovative solution allowed for a contemporary office building to take shape while avoiding the hold up of the zoning board. The new well-appointed office space houses three offices; conference room; kitchenette; and a file storage area and provides a breathe of fresh air to the surrounding neighborhood.
